    There are a lot of old superstitions which the people used to believe in and some people believe in them yet.
    If there is a bit of corn missed in your field there will be a death in the family that year,
    If you find silver it is lucky, but if you find a copper it is unlucky, and when you get money from anyone you should spit on it and you get more money.
    If you let anything fall and lift it up yourself, it is a dissapointment for you or if you say thanks when another person lifts it for you it is a dissappointment also, and it is an introduction for the person who lifts it.
    If you show a cat her face in a looking-glass she will die very soon after it.
    If you put a pair of boots or shoes on the table there will
