  2. There is a house about 2 miles outside Carlingford where a woman lives with her three sons. Every night when the people go to bed, the chairs begin to move, and chains can be heard, and when the fire is kindled it is found lit in the morning. One night the woman decided to sit up till 12 o'clock. that night the noise began but the woman could see nothing. Next morning the woman sent for the priest and Mass was celebrated in the house, and there was nothing seen afterwards.

  3. About a year ago a woman died in this town and she left some of her furniture to a cousin. One night when she was taking up a chair, it is said that she pulled the chair off his back. When he was coming near the house it was pulled off again. He went on ahead and left the chair in the house.
