  1. Long ago the peope did not wear much boots. When they were going to Mass they took off their boots until they came near the church because they could walk better.
    The children would not get boots until they were sixteen or seventeen. The old people would not throw out the water they washed their feet in until night and if they did not throw it our they would put a burning stick in it.
