  1. The chief crop that is sown in the parish of Tullaroan in potatoes. The people have alot of preparations to make before they can sow the potatoes.
    The people of Tullaroan have different ways of sowing them. The farmers around here have the ground ploughed since the Winter, and when Spring comes they have to harrow cultivate and roll the ground. When they have that done they put out the manure and sow the potatoes.
    The potatoes have to be wed three times at least during the Summer months and sprayed twice.
