On that night bonfires are lighted. It falls on the 24th of June.
    St Valentines Day:-
This day falls on the 14th of February. People send postcards to their sweethearts and put in a little rhyme.
I wish I could travell (sic) by letter,
And sit by your side as of old,
One clasp of your hand would be better,
Than love letters written in gold.
It is often I sit and think of thee
When I am alone for memory is the only thing brief can call its own.
    I wish I were a china cup
From which you would drink your tea
For every time you would take a sup
I would get a kiss from you.
When you are sitting by the fire
    Wishing a friend to see
    Turn your thoughts to Cloonadrum
And you will surely think of me
Roses are red and voilets (sic) are blue
Sugar is sweet and so are you.
