    An Tígearna Talmhan
    In Queen Elizabeth's reign the parish of Kilmurray Ibrickan was given to the Earl of Thomond. After some years he got poor and he asked leave for to sell the land. He got leave for to sell the land but any Catholic could not buy it and it was sold to Protestants who came from England such as Leconfield, Bolton and others. That is where the landlords got the land.
    This is another way the landlords got land. When Cromwell was in Ireland he got very poor and he hadn't the money for to pay his soldiers
