    Some years ago there lived in the parish of Miltown Malbay a poor old man and his wife who were in great poverty.One evening at dusk ,a little man came to the door,the woman of the house told him to come in and warm himself as the night was very cold. When he was warmed he said he would be going and asked the man of the house to go a bit of the road with him.When they came to the first cross-road the little man said "I must be going now,but i must thank you for the good gift you gave me.This time tomorrow night if you come here ,I will be here to meet you."they met the next night and the little
