    A Story.
There is a holy well at the north east of Doolough lake. Many people go there to perform rounds.it was first at Pouleoum.
One day a certain woman wanted water ,she was in a hurry, the Blessed well was nearer to her than the other well, and she took the water from the blessed well to boil potatoes .Next morning the Blessed well had removed to the upper side of Doolough lake .The potatoes never boiled because it was holy water.it is a great well for cures. It is known as St.Ruan's well.
