  1. Two men dreamt that there was a treasure hidden in Cahermurphy Lake ,it was the old dwelling place of the Danes and there is a passage into it from top of Caherhill. One day two men went in along the passage and they saw inside a barrel which they thought contained gold and when they saw the bull chained on to it they ran for their lives.
