    The man followed determined to catch the hare.
    When he entered the house although it was very early in the morning, the woman of the house was sitting in the kitchen with a pool of fresh blood under her chair.
    When the man saw this he returned home convinced that the woman was the "hare" he had shot a few minutes before.

    They bring a hatchet with them in order to break it.
    When picked they sell some and get a penny or three half for it
    It is a custom for people in Ireland to hang the May bush outside their
