  1. Long ago there was a chieftain living about three hundred yards from the school
    He had a great many servants and he built a great lot of houses around his fort or cathair.
    By degrees the houses became bigger and finally they became a town.
    The town is now called Sráid na Cathrach.
    On the north side of the town there was a cross-roads called Canada Cross.
    The time of the Fenians the local men who were Fenians were in the habit of resorting at the cross or at the tradesmens shops near by such as forges, tailors, and carpenters' Shops
    When the news came of the success of the Fenians a celebration was held at the
