  1. About forty years ago a man named Mick Steele lived in the Ennis Road Miltown Malbay.
    His trade was nail-making.
    He had a small little forge near the house and there he used to make the nails.
    This is how he used to make the nails.
    At first he used to put a length of steel wire into the fire and when it was red he would take it out.
    Then he would lay it on the anvil and cut off a piece equivalent to the length of a nail.
    Then he would put the piece of steel wire in the fire again and redden it.
