    When the Grey Plover comes here hard weather will follow.
    When you get up in the morning and the sky is red in the east and if the reddening scatters along the sky rain is approaching.
    If the swallow flies low it is the sign of bad weather and if she flies high it is the sign of fine weather.
    When the robin perches herself on the top of a tree the sun is sure to shine and when she goes under the tree in shelter the day is sure to be wet.
    If Mount Callan is capped and the cap rises up in the sky the weather will be fine and if it goes down behind the Mountain the day will be fine.
    When the sun goes down red in the evenings it is the sign of dry
