"No" said Fionn "whatever happens to one let it happen to all." Then he released Diarmuid, and there were then two left. The King told Diarmuid to sit down. "No" said Diarmuid "I'll not until another man is loosened." Then Oisin was loosened, and after that Conan Maol.
Then they went on with the dinner, and while they were eating, the house was filling up with people. So the king said "Is there any good man to act as porter at the door." "We have" said Fionn "the best man amongst us is Conan." Conan went to the door to act as porter. He partly closed the door but he was knocked by a woman coming in. "Ah! Conan" said Diarmuid "I thought you were better than that"(continues on next page)
