There is one boy in it whose name is Thomas, and he can make scuttles perfect. First he gets a "bearth" of osiers, and he starts making the scuttle. He bends the rods a bit, and then he lays the rods straight after another. When he is crossing the first covering he does it like a woman does darning, by taking up one rod, passing over the next, taking the next, and so on.
