    Is the name of a division of land about a mile and a half from Lahinch. It means the short quarter.

    2) Bartra:- This word means top of the strand.

    3) Cregg:- From "Carraig" a rock. Land very rocky.

    4) Dough:- Sand hills

    5) Callura:- Called after grave-yard

    6) Maghera:- great plain about two miles from Lahinch
