    About half a mile from Lahinch there is an old ruin.

    They went up the Milltown road, and Dan Lehane, Pake's father, was living in a house close to the road. Dan was a noted Irish hero because of his bravery. The Black and Tans knew his house so theyt burned it, and they marched him out to his own gate and shot him (R.I.P)
    There is a hole in the gate for the people to see where the shot hit it, and some of the blood is there to be seen yet.
