    About a widowed mother's son in Kilshanny he doth dwell.
    His mother holds a farm composed of acres few
    Where she often freely paid her rent, which gave her enough to do.

    A surly Bodach who lived near beheld with envious eyes
    This lowly widows bit of land and for it did bid high
    He forced or bribed the agent to eject poor Mrs. McKeon
    Out of the land her father held for many a long long year.
