  1. St. Brendan was a great Irish saint who travelled all Ireland visiting the schools and monasteries. One time he came to Toomullin on his way to Aran and he stayed with St. Bricin for the night in the old church of Toomullen. On his way through Doolin he lay down and slept.
    When he woke he made a hole in the ground with his hands and blessed it and later it grew to be a well.
    He told the people of Fisherstreet that he had made this well and anyone that would be suffering from warts would be cured there if they would visit it three times and say five our Fathers five Hail Mary's and five Glorias.
