The people of this parish used to be great footballers long ago. There was a match once against Kinvara and the people of this parish won it. Jim Keane was the captain of this place and Joe Connely was the captain of the Kinvara team. Eleven that were in each side.
The Crag was the name of the field they played in. It is down New Quay.
Michael Fahy was a great footballer, and so was his father.
