Told by: - John Costello, Coad, (her father)
(58 years)

Long ago there was a woman living in the county (Clare) who was able to work magic. Her name was Biddy Early. One time a man went to her for a cure for himself and his son. The boy was unable to go so his father went. Biddy Early cured the father and gave him a bottle for his son.
She asked him had he his “airgead crosa” and he said he had. She told him to put it under the bottle and mind it going over a certain gap. When he came to the gap he held the bottle tightly for fear he might slip, and so as he was about to go over the gap he felt something pulling him back but he got over safely and brought the cure home and his son was cured
