    One night of the 20th April 1920 as the people of Miltown Malbay were...

    On the night of 20th April 1920 as the people of Miltown Malbay were celebrating the release of the political prisoners around a tar barrel at Canada Cross, the police fired into the crowd killing three young men and wounding several others.
    The men who were killed were Patrick Hennessy, Martin O'Loughlin and Thomas Leary.
    They are buried in one grave at Ballard, Miltown Malbay.
