  1. In olden times there was a fort on the Victoria Road. Old people at that time, when people would die, used to say that the fairies took them to the Caher.
    Long ago there was a fort called Garryaurt in the Circular road, just between the two large hills. At that time people were very superstitious and people were afraid to pass those hills in case they would be taken by the fairies. There were two walls around it and they were surrounded by stones and trees.
