- My father told me that there was a fort up near fountain Cross and that there was a ring of bushes around it, and two small rings of stones inside the bushes. The man who owned the land had cattle and sheep grazing there.
One morning, as he was passing the fort, he saw his sheep dead under the bushes of the fort. When he saw his sheep lying dead under the bushes he went home and cut the fort down and a thorn went into his finger. It blood-poisoned it and he died shortly after.- Collector
