  1. Old Cures
    There are many old cures for diseases, in the town of Ennis.
    Boils: If you have a boil on your head pick stuff which grows in fields and is like a nettle. Pick thirty or fourty leaves and make a cap and put it on your head. Another cure for boils is, get soap, salt, sugar and cream, and miz them and put it up to the boil.
    Sore Eyes. Bathe your eyes in black tea.
    Sore Throat. Boil salt and put it around your neck.
    Influenza. Boil milk and put butter in it and drink it.
    Chin-Cough. Give a ferret milk and drink the remains of the milk.
    Warts. Go into some house and steal a piece of fat meat
