  1. There was a man one time who was said to have great courage. A soldier wished to test him so he met him and said. "Well as you are supposed to be so courageous will you come to yonder graveyard to-night after midnight, stand in the middle of the Cemetery, and repeat three times. "Arise you dead and come to judgment," and if you do you will prove your courage. The man agreed. A about 1 o clock that night he set for the graveyard with a good blackthorn stick.
    Meanwhile the soldier was hiding in a newly dug grave and he had a white shroud about him. The courageous man came to the middle of the cemetery and standing he gave the order." "Arise you dead and come to judgment," and as he was about to repeat the order the third time the soldier appeared in the white shroud
