    People used do a days washing in a farmers house for flour, bread, meat and vegetables. Farmers would pay their labourers by rind, that is giving them goods such as potatoes, butter, and milk for their work.

  2. An Old Story
    Bean Hill is situated inj that mountainous part of County Clare, between Connolly and Lissacasey. A long time ago, some men discovered a very large flat stone on top of the hill. Written on the stone was the following lines "turn me over and you will see
