    Diseases and Cures.
    The following are a selection from the pupils copies.
    Disease Cure
    Chin-cough 1Soup made from a gráineog
    2.Donkey's milk.
    3. To ask a man driving a white horse for a cure and to do exactly as he advises.
    4.Let the child's mother visit three neighbours and kiss the youngest in each house,The cough will then leave the first child and settle on the others.
    Burn: 1. Whoever licks a lizard can by licking a burn cure it.
    2.Snow water.
    3.Dock-leaf juice.
    4.Cover the burn with baking soda.
    Warts: 1.Put a stone in a paper bag and leave it at a cross-roads .Whoever takes up the bag will take the warts also.
    2.Tie a rib of your hair around the wart and it will cut the growth.
    3.Hide a piece of stolen meat in a dung hill and as the meat rots the warts melt away.
    4.If you saw water lodged on a stone and washed your hands in it the warts would disappear.It is essential that you do not look for the water.
