- On the road running from Newtown to Lisvernane there is another crossing and that cross is called Robert's Cross. It is called Robert's Cross because a man named Robert Brennan is living beside it. He was a steward in Ballynacourty and was grandfather to Mr. Brennan who was living in Lisvernane village.
