  1. A few years ago my uncles were going to the fair in Mitchelstown with some sheep. They were going along the road when they came to this Borheen and the sheep refused to pass it just then the crying started inside the ditch. The crying followed them for some distance inside the ditch sometime the crying was louder and sometimes low. Suddenly the crying stopped and they heard no more. It was the banshee they heard. Because someone in the place died that night.
