  1. There was an old grave yard in Lisvernane beside the bank of the River Aherlow just a few yards from the public road near Lisvernane Bridge. This grave yard was there during the penal times and there was a Church just a little further up on the bank of the River.
    During Geoffrey Keating's time priests used to be buried there. Even to this day there are signs of the graves to be seen.
