  1. A Bansha Peeler went out one night,
    On duty on patrollin, O!
He met a goat upon the road
And charged him up with strolling, O!
With bayonets fixed and courage high
He seized him by the wizzen, O!
And then swore out a mighty oath
He'd send him off the prison, O!
    Goat.
Oh, mercy Sir, the goat replied
Pray let me tell my story, O!
I am no rogue nor ribbon man
No croppy, Whig or Tory, O!
I'm guilty not of any crime
    Petty or high treason, O!
My trade all peelers know it well
For this is my busy season, O!
    The Peeler.
In vain you plead, you hoary knave
To give your Tongue such freedom, O!
Your absent from your dwelling place
    Disorderly and rowdy, O!
Your ancient locks will not avail
    Nor your sublime ovation, O!
For the Peeler's act will you transport
    By your own information, O!
