  1. In olden times a marriage was the principal event in a person's life.
    In the morning about ten o'clock the man and all his relations and friends went to the girl's house, and there, they sang and danced until about two o'clock. Then all left for the church. After the ceremony was over the man took his wife and all to his home. As the cars drove home along the road there was singing and cheering, all were in good humour.
