    The boy went home and, as children will, told a distorted version of the incident. His enraged mother arrived at the school and demanded to see Mr. Mac Namara "Sir, why did you call my son a moon? she cried "Madam" said he "I did not call him a moon. I designated him a far brighter constellation I called him a star.
    The mother unable to retalliate retired crestfallen.
    From that day until he died Norris was known by no other name in the district but "Star" Norris.
