  1. A cure for warts is to rub a snail to each wart and then stick him on a white thorn bush and according as the snail is withering the warts are withering also. A cure for the sty in the eye is to make the sign of the cross on it and look through a wedding ring. A cure for a sore throat is to heat a lump of salt and put it into the stocking of your right foot and tie it around your neck. A cure for a toothache is a dash of pepper or to plug the hole with tobacco. A cure for a headache is to drink a cup of strong black tea and also to tie a St. Brigid's band around your head. Ferrets leavings is good for the whooping cough. Bread soda is also good for a toothache.
