  1. A Story
    About two miles from Golden there is a large mansion called Lisheen House. It is surrounded by large trees, their boughs drooping with age.
    Long, long ago there lived in this mansion a very cruel man, named Sir. John Fitzgerald. He was known as "The Flogger".
    Children were brought to him to be chastised.
    On one of these occasions a woman told him that she was unable to chastise one of her children.
    "Bring him to me", said Sir John, "And I'll chastise him in such a way as he won't forget
