    though up to a few years ago the fifth generation of a family named Darcy worked as Smiths in it.
    One of these Smiths was able to cure rickets and children were brought from far and near to him to be cured.
    The townland is cut by the main Waterford to Limerick road and it is bounded on the South by the Great Southern Railway.
    A very fine new bridge lately erected in place of one blown up during the Civil War connects it with the townland of Cappagh at its eastern end.
    No two families of the same name live in it.
