The people used to rear cattle sheep and goats on the mountain.
The ground was tilled with spades and shovels. Some people brought the manure on donkeys and others brought it in a sheet on their backs.
Parts of the mountain that were tilled in the old times may still be traced though they are all now covered with furze.
