  1. Cures
    A ribbon which is put out on St. Brigid's eve and taken in before daylight will cure a pain in the head.
    A cobweb put on a cut will stop it from bleeding.
    For a sore throat: the stocking you take off of you at night put some salt in it and tie it around your throat.
    Boiled potato water will cure a sprain.
    Black tea is used to cure sore eyes.
    Bread-Soda is used for a pain in the stomach.
    To cure chilblains: a raw onion peeled and sliced and put to the parts where the chilblains are is the best.
    Unsalted lard is used as a cure for sore teats in cows.
