She has stolen all the gold and silver
    That I ever had."
The answer the mill made was to
fall on top of him and kill him.
NB Mrs Joanie Brien's people - father and mother - were native Irish speakers. She herself spoke Irish and English. She had little or no English education. I am certain this old tale is a traditional one and not out of a story book. The words are almost exactly as she gave them.

  2. Gleann Cois a'binne is a district in the Glen of Aherlow directly under Galtee More. It is reached by a long, rocky, steep, winding boreen starting from Claideac Bridge on the "main" road (mountainfoot)
