- There is a rock in a field in the townland of Dangan, it is called Clochatierna. It is the shape of a sugar bowl. It is said that the priests in the penal days used to gather round it and say Mass. The rock is surrounded by water and the people say even on the finest day of summer the water does not dry up. Fairies used to live round the rock long ago, and there are prints of feet and hands on the rock. People say there is a cock seen there every night at twelve o'clock.

Ten pounds were found in it.4) Spynk is a field in O'Briens farm at Lisfuncheon. There used to be soldiers there, and people used be killed there.
