  1. Cures for a burn 15.2.'38
    Lime mixed with olive-oil, and water, and then rubbed to the burn.
    This is another one, Hog's Lard, and a laurel leaf. Cut the Hogs Lard, and the laurel leaf very small, and then put it into a frying-pan, when fried rub it to the burn.
    Cures for Warts
    Rub your fasting spit to the warts, every morning for nine mornings.
    This is another one, if a person stole a piece of meat out of a butchers shop, and rubbed it to the wart, then hide it under a stone and when it is rotten the wart will be cured.
    Cure for Whooping Cough
    Sheeps milk because they eat all kinds of herbs. The milk must be boiled, before taken.
    A Cure for a Sting of a Nettle
    Rub a dock-leaf to the sting. It is said to be a
