    Petty Coat Loose drown a baby in the Knockmealdown mountains. One day she was going through the mountain and she got a lift from a man. She got the rein from the man when she came to Beal ac she flung the him in to Beal ac. The penance the priest gave her was to drain Beal ac with a timble. She could not drain it. She drown a great many people in Beal ac. She was a murderer. All the people was frightened of her.

    A man gave her a lift one night. The horse frightened at some thing on the road
    "If you wont drive on I will kill your self and the horse" she said.
    The horse would not go and she kill them.

    There were a car man called Baoikeen 'caming' from Cashel to Cork. One night Petticoat Lewis met him at Burnscourt cross and sat up on his load and the horse was scarcely able to move for two miles of the road, because there was a ton weight in her eight hand. She disappeared from the load at the end
