  1. Cluiche. Cé hé sin in áirde.
Four or five boys close hands and hold thumbs upright. The boy whose hand is lowest down starts off
    "Cé hé sin in áirde
    Ceann an stúca
Leag ar lár é go n-itfheadh sé práta
    Beidh beirthe gearrtha
    Aniós an gárrda Thóg"
At the word Tóg the boy whose hand is on the ground pulls it out and hits the top boy's thumb a good blow.
Then they start again. Some times thumbs are broken with the blows.
