  1. Story
There is a Lios in Roan on Mr Lonergan's farm. It is in the townland of Glashganny West, Newcastle. It is about 100 yds from his house. It is situated in a small field. About 1/3 of the field is taken up by this Lios. There is an old broken down circular wall all round it. There are two mounds of earth running east and west inside the old broken down wall. Inside the two mounds of earth there are two openings in the ground, one leading down to a room and the other leading down to an underground boreen. The boreen goes east under the ground for about a mile and opens to another Lios in Mr. Murphy's farm at Bánard.
