    People try to get all the money they can on the first Monday of the year. They call it Hansel Monday, but if they could help it at all they would not pay away any money that day.

  2. Long ago when old people got their hair cut they would gather up all the hair and put it into a hole in the wall because they believed, if the crows got it to build their nests the persons head would get bald.
    Never hit anyone with a broom or if you do you will have no luck.
    If you bring a hazel stick with you at night it is supposed to keep away ghosts.
