  1. There is a fort in Kilaidinee in the parish of Ballybacon. It is owned by a man named O'Gorman.
    One morning he began to plough the field and after his dinner that day when he went back to the field he found all the sods turned back again, and since then he never ploughed the fort.
    There is another fort in Knockroe in the parish of Ballybacon, the owner of it is named Beston.
    There is a white thorn bush growing in it, and it is the same size since it was planted.
    There is another fort in Goldenbridge in the parish of Ballybacon.
    One day the owner cut all the grass in the fort except one bit, and that same night all his hair fell off except a small bit, and as soon as the grass began to grow his hair began to grow too.
