  1. "It is a poor heart that never rejoices" is an old proverb and this is a story connected with it. There was a woman a who always grumbled but one year all the crops grew excellently especially the potatoes. A man came to the woman and he said "well you have nothing to grumble about this year the potatoes are fine." "O indeed", said she "where are the potatoes for the pigs?"
    A rolling stone gathers no moss
    "Think not to make a wallet soft of silken twine,
    From the auriculr pinna of a female swine.
    This is the local version of
    "You can't make a silk purse out of a swine's ear.
    When the people are speaking of a man who is dead they say
