  1. The name of my home district is Ardfinnan. I am in the townland of Loughland. There are 17 families in it and 44 people. The most common name is Lonergan there are three families of that name. The houses are slated and one is thatched and some have zinc roofs. There are three old ruins, one is a churchyard and the others are castles. The land is hilly and very rocky. The wood is mostly pine or larch and the trees are about 40ft high. It got its name because of the big lake in it.
