  1. Near Cahir is a large fairy fort it is near the Mitchelstown road. It is situated on a hill, and a good view of Cahir can be got on it. It is supposed to be hollow in the middle.
    There is a big hedge on the outside and a large hollow inside the ditch. Outside is a stone, flat and about three or four feet long. Some people say there is treasure underneath.
    An old story is told that if anyone picks a flower from the fort he will die.
